Pierce Ranch lies in the southwest part of Almaden Valley. The neighborhood is bordered by Almaden Quicksilver Park to the south, Camden Avenue to the north, and McAbee Road to the east. The 540 homes that make up Pierce Ranch were mostly built in the late 70s – early 80s.In the 1940s, Tony Pierce had a dairy farm on 250 acres in the Pierce Ranch area. There he had 600 dairy cows, and built many barns to house them. The dairy farm ceased operations in 1974. One of the remaining barns still stands today near the McAbee Trail entrance into Quicksilver Park.
The Pierce Ranch neighborhood is serviced by Simonds Elementary, Castillero Middle, and Pioneer High School.
